Ричард Александр (англ. Richard D. Alexander) — американский зоолог, профессор Мичиганского университета и куратор университетского музея зоологии в Энн-Арборе, штат Мичиган, доктор наук, член НАН США[1].
Биография[править]
Родился 18 ноября 1929 года.
Фигурирует в списке евреев, членов НАН США[2].
В 1948 году получил степень бакалавра биологии в Колледж Блэкберн в Иллинойсе.
В 1956 году получил степень доктора в Университете штата Огайо.
Затем устроился в Университет штата Мичиган факультет.
Исследования в области систематики, экологии, эволюции и поведения различных животных от ортоптеранов (кузнечиков, катидидов и сверчков) и цикадид (цикад) до позвоночных — собак, лошадей и приматов, включая человека.
Умер 20 августа 2018 года.
