Gonatopsis okutanii (Nesis, 1972) — головоногий моллюск.

Общие сведения

Описал вид советский биолог Кир Назимович Несис.

Встречается в северной части Тихого океана от Японии на востоке до Аляски и Канады на западе.

Длина мантии — от 18 до 25 см. Мантия обычно темно-фиолетового цвета.

Хищники. Жертву ловят при помощи рук-щупалец, вооружённых присосками и крючьями.

В свою очередь поедаются более крупными хищниками, в том числе кашалотами, в желудках которых найдены эти кальмары.
