Дэвид Гвин Николлс (англ. David Gwyn Nicholls; ^{[Нет даты!]}) — английский англиканский священник, теолог и исследователь Карибского бассейна. Автор более ста публикаций в области политической теологии и карибских исследований.

Биография

Николлс родился в Уокинге, графство Суррей. Учился в Уокингской гимназии (1947—1954), Лондонской школе экономики (1954—1957, премия Лэша 1956, бакалавр наук в области государственного управления с отличием 1957, Премия Гладстона 1957), Королевском колледже Кембриджа (1957—1960, доктор философии по истории 1972), Йельской богословской школе (стипендиат Генри 1960—1966, магистр священной теологии 1962) и Чичестерском теологическом колледже (1961—1962, рукоположён в дьяконы в 1962, в священники в 1963). Получил степень магистра искусств Оксфордского университета по специальному указу (1973) и степень доктора литературы по решению факультетов истории и социальных исследований (1991).

До подготовки к рукоположению работал тьютором в Кембриджском университете и Ассоциации образования рабочих (1958—1960). Был помощником капеллана Лондонского университета (1962—1966), тьютором в Лондонской школе экономики и Политехническом институте Риджент-стрит (1963—1965), преподавателем государственного управления в Университете Вест-Индии в Тринидаде (1966—1973), приглашённым научным сотрудником в Институте расовых отношений в Лондоне (1970—1971), официальным стипендиатом, капелланом и тьютором Эксетерского колледжа Оксфорда (1973—1978), старшим членом колледжа Святого Антония в Оксфорде (1976—1996), ответственным священником, а затем викарием церкви Святой Марии и Святого Николая в Литтлморе (1978—1996) и лектором Халси в Кембриджском университете (1985—1986).

Мемориальная библиотека Дэвида Николлса в Риджентс-Парк-колледже Оксфорда названа в его честь.

Николлс был женат на Джиллиан Сли с 1968 года до своей смерти в Оксфорде 13 июня 1996 года. Детей у них не было, но в их доме жил ара по кличке Уильям Пейли, названный в честь философа.
