Джеймс Джозеф Уолш (англ. James Joseph Walsh; [Нет даты!]) — американский врач и писатель. Известен как историк медицины и автор популярных работ по истории католической церкви и науки.
Биография[править]
Уолш родился в Арчбалде, штат Пенсильвания. В 1884 году окончил Фордемский колледж (получил степень доктора философии в 1892 году), а в 1895 году — Пенсильванский университет (получил степень доктора медицины). После аспирантуры в Париже, Вене и Берлине поселился в Нью-Йорке. На протяжении многих лет Уолш был деканом и профессором нервных болезней и истории медицины в медицинской школе Фордемского университета.
Помимо написания статей для «Новой международной энциклопедии», медицинских и других журналов, он также опубликовал множество популярных работ[1].
В 1916 году получил медаль Лаэтаре от Университета Нотр-Дам[2].
