Abralia redfieldi (лат.) — головоногий моллюск из отряда кальмары.

Общие сведения

Обитает в Атлантическом океане (в водах близ Багамских островов, Суринама, от Португалии до США, от Новой Шотландии до Аргентины и Южной Африки) на глубине 50−100 м, активны в ночное время.

Добычу ловит при помощи вооружённых крючьями щупалец. В свою очередь, этим кальмаром питаются молодые кашалоты.

Длина мантии составляет 7 см. Самки откладывают яйца длиной до 1,5 мм.
