Кратохвил, Фридрих

Фридрих В. Кратохвил (англ. Friedrich V. Kratochwil; ^{[Нет даты!]}) — учёный в области международных отношений. Известен вкладом в конструктивизм и исследованиями роли норм, правил и процессов социального конструирования в международной политике. Его работы подчёркивают роль языка, значения и социальных практик в формировании международных отношений, предлагая альтернативу традиционным рационалистическим и материалистическим подходам.

Биография

Кратохвил родился в Лунденбурге (бывшая Чехословакия). В 1963 году окончил гуманитарную гимназию Максимилиана в Мюнхене. Изучал философию, историю и политологию в Мюнхенском университете. В 1969 году получил степень магистра искусств в области международных отношений в Джорджтаунском университете в Вашингтоне. В 1976 году получил степень доктора философии по политологии со специализацией на международных отношениях в Принстонском университете.

Преподавал в американских университетах: Принстонском, Колумбийском и Пенсильванском, а также в Европейском университетском институте во Флоренции. До 2003 года работал профессором международной политики в Институте имени Ганса и Софи Шолль (GSI) Мюнхенского университета.

В 1989 году опубликовал книгу «Rules, Norms and Decisions», которая ввела конструктивизм в дисциплину международных отношений.

Был редактором журнала European Journal of International Relations. Входил в состав редколлегий нескольких журналов, включая Journal of International Relations of the Asia-Pacific, International Studies Quarterly, International Organization и World Politics. Также являлся членом редакционного консультативного совета Millennium: Journal of International Studies.
