Питер Брюэр (англ. Peter C. Brewer) ― американский эмерит профессор экономики, автор книг по управленческому учёту.

Биография

Питер получил степень бакалавра (B.S.) в Пенсильванском университете в 1986 году, степень магистра (M.S.) в Коммерческой школе Макинтайра^[en] Виргинском университете в 1991 году, докторскую степень по деловому администрированию (Ph.D.) в Университете Теннесси в 1994 году.

После получения докторской степени преподавал как ассистент-профессор кафедры учёта в 1994―2000 годах, затем стал ассоциированным профессором кафедры учёта в 2000―2006 годах, полным профессором в Университете Майами, штат Огайо в 2006—2013 годах. В 2013 году вышел в отставку, став эмерит профессором Университета Майами. Преподавал лектором в 2013―2020 годах, адъюнкт-лектором с 2020 года на кафедре учёта Университета Уэйк-Фореста.

Являлся членом нескольких редакционных коллегий журналов, специализирующихся на бухгалтерском образовании, являлся ведущим мыслителем в области инноваций в учебной программе по управленческому учёту и часто выступал с докладами на различных профессиональных и академических конференциях. Как сертифицированный аудитор работал в качестве консультанта по написанию кейсов для многочисленных фирм. Входил в состав редколлегий журнала Journal of Accounting Education в 2006—2014 годах, Issues in Accounting Education в 2000—2009 годах, Cost Management с 2013 года, IMA Educational Case Journal в 2007—2014 годах, Journal of the Academy of Business Education в 2000—2002 годах, Journal of Engineering Valuation and Cost Analysis в 1998—2001 годах.
