Азар Гат (англ. Azar Gat, ивр. עזר גת) — израильский военный историк, профессор Тель-Авивского университета.

Биография

Родился в 1959 году в Хайфе.

В 1978 году получил степень бакалавра в Университете Хайфы.

В 1983 году получил степень магистра в Тель-Авивском университете.

В 1986 году получил докторскую степень в Оксфордском университете

В 1999–2003 годах и с 2010 года — заведующий кафедрой политических наук в Тель-Авивском университете.

Области исследований: военная история, стратегия, развитие военной мысли.

Является майором запаса израильской армии.
