Дже́реми Джон Грей (англ. Jeremy John Gray; [Нет даты!]) — английский математик, специализирующийся на истории математики.

Биография[править]

Грей изучал математику в Оксфордском университете с 1966 по 1969 год, а затем в Уорикском университете, где в 1980 году получил степень доктора философии под руководством Иэна Стюарта и Дэвида Фаулера. С 1974 года работал в Открытом университете, в 1978 году стал преподавателем. С 2002 по 2017 год читал курс по истории математики в Уорикском университете.

Грей выступал консультантом телевизионного сериала «История математики»[1], созданного совместно Открытым университетом и BBC[2]. Является редактором журнала Archive for History of Exact Sciences.

В 1998 году был приглашённым докладчиком на Международном конгрессе математиков в Берлине[3]. В 2012 году стал членом Американского математического общества[4].

Награды и премии[править]

Грей удостоен ряда наград за вклад в математику, включая Мемориальную премию Альберта Леона Уайтмена от Американского математического общества в 2009 году[5][6], премию Отто Нойгебауэра от Европейского математического общества в 2016 году и премию Хирста от Лондонского математического общества в 2018 году.
