Шауль Шакед (англ. Shaul Shaked, ивр. שאול שקד) — израильский учёный, специалист по древнеперсидским языкам, профессор Еврейского университета в Иерусалиме.

Биография

Шауль Шакед родился 5 марта 1933 года в Дебрецене, Венгрия.

В возрасте около года с семьёй репатриировался в Израиль.

Учился в школе Реали в Хайфе по направлению востоковедения.

В 1952 году поступил на факультет арабского языка и литературы и семитской лингвистики Еврейского университета в Иерусалиме.

В 1959 году получил степень магистра по арабскому языку и литературе и религиоведению в Еврейском университете.

Затем изучал документы Каирской генизы.

В 1964 году защитил докторскую диссертацию по доисламскому Ирану.

В 1964—1965 годах преподавал в Лондонском университете.

С 1965 года преподаёт в Еврейском университете в Иерусалиме, с 1980 года — профессор.

В 1986 году был избран членом АН Израиля.

В 1995—1999 годах — вице-президент Европейского общества иранологии (Societas Iranologica Europaea).

Занимался изучением древнеиранской, индийской, еврейской и армянской литературы и культуры, зороастризм, историю Талмуда и раннего ислама и т. д., в том числе исследовал вопросы влияния зороастриизма на иудаизм в конце периода Второго Храма и на Вавилонский Талмуд. Изучал средневековую историю иранских евреев. Изучает арамейские документы, составил словарь пехлеви.

Обнаружил и опубликовал тексты, составленные манихеями на сирийском языке.

Совместно с профессором Питером Шафером из Берлинского университета Шакед опубликовала четыре тома магических текстов из Каирской Генизы.

Шакед подготовил к публикации в сотрудничестве с Йосефом Неве сборник арамейских документов четвертого века до нашей эры, происходящих из древней Бактрии и Согдианы, находящихся на территории сегодняшнего Афганистана и Узбекистана.

Умер 27 октября 2021 года.
