Йоэль Рак
Йоэль Рак (нем. Yoel Rak, ивр. יואל רק) — израильский антрополог, профессор анатомии и антропологии в Медицинском факультете Тель-Авивского университета[1].
Биография[править]
Родился 29 июня 1946 года в Берлине в семье выживших в Холокосте Пинхаса и Ханы.
В 1948 году со своими родителями репатриировался в Израиль. Вырос в Рамат-Гане.
В 1972 году окончил Еврейский университет со степенью бакалавра в области эволюции и археологии.
В 1973 году участвовал в Войне Судного дня.
В 1975 году получил степень магистра.
В 1981 году получил докторскую степень в Калифорнийском университете в Беркли.
В 1980 вернулся в Израиль и был назначен лектором в университете Тель-Авива. С 1991 года — профессор кафедры анатомии и антропологии медицинского факультета им. Саклера Тель-Авивского университета.
В 2004—2008 годах возглавлял Институт анатомии и антропологии.
В 2008 году был избран членом Академии наук Израиля.
Женат, имеет трое детей.
